Help us help kids realize their potential. Meeting the ever- growing needs of the children entrusted in our care and of their families in our community presents a challenge to a small agency such as Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones strives to work preventively and creatively with youth so as their stay in out-of-home care can be as beneficial as possible.
All gifts and donations will be designated for our donation fund to be used where most needed. Such donations are accumulated for special projects such as capital improvements, renovations, new program development, special children’ needs, etc. We would like to assure all donors that each contribution will go toward a good and prudent cause. . Giving Steps:
In-Kind Gift: A donation of needed items such as furniture, building supplies, contractor services, gift certificates, clothing, food, tools, recreation equipment or tickets, etc. and/or a volunteer donation of time and expertise.
In-Honor: An In-Honor Gift is given out of respect and love for a living individual. Special occasions such as holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, etc. are just some of the significant life events to honor those special people in our lives. Stepping Stones will acknowledge the gift with a special card sent to the honoree.
In-Memorial: This gift is devoted to the memory of a deceased loved one. A special acknowledgment will be sent to the family members.
Donation: We are honored by and appreciative of all donations given to our Program. All donors will receive a special “Thank You” for their gift.
Volunteer
There are many ways to volunteer and be a part of carrying out our mission to help our kids realize their potential one step at a time. We are blessed to have a community that supports our young men and provides the sense of belonging that is critical to their healthy development. Below are just a few ways volunteers can support our boys.
- Help with our hydroponic greenhouse, outdoor gardens, or flower beds/landscaping- if you love to garden, we have many opportunities and our boys love to learn and be active. Volunteers can help with planting, harvesting, planning, cooking and leading activities in our gardens, flowers, and cooking programs.
- Organize an employee event such as building and planting a raised bed garden, landscaping, adopting, and painting/decorating a bedroom, fundraising event, maintenance project, sock drive, sponsor a holiday, provide Birthday cakes, or presents, plan and build an outdoor recreation area or plan a special event for the boys or outing.
- Volunteer at our annual Golf Tournament
- Teach our boys about a special skill, hobby, or career that you have interest or expertise in.
Amazon Wish List
There are currently 18 boys at Stepping Stones Group Home between the ages of 12-18, and we are trying to keep them active and engaged. Our boys will be blessed with any of these items to keep them busy and engaged. Our community is a great support for our boys, and we appreciate your continued generosity. Anything you can give will help and be greatly appreciated.
